Giving Tuesday

December 1, 2015

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, non-profits, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. At the School Nutrition Foundation, we celebrate Giving Tuesday with SNA members and encourage support of the Annual Fund.

SNA Regional Directors show their support for Giving Tuesday and SNF

Get Ready for Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, December 1st!

  • Consider getting SNA members and others in your state involved. Encourage them to post “UNselfies” and to spread the word on Facebook and Twitter.
  • SNA Southwest Regional Director Kevin Ponce, SNS,
poses for an “UNselfie” to show his support of
    Giving Tuesday and the Foundation
  • Send out emails prior to Thanksgiving, on the Monday before Giving Tuesday, and on Giving Tuesday!
  • Tell others why you support the School Nutrition Foundation!
  • Invite each person to support the profession which makes a difference in the lives of millions of children every day!
  • Ask them to make a gift online and suggest that they send an email and/or call a friend on Giving Tuesday to invite him or her to participate also.
  • Consider issuing a challenge – Example: Your state association will donate $1 for each person in the state who makes a contribution to SNF for the first time.
